Editorial & Health-Claims Standards
Health is a high-stakes category. These are our publication rules: how we qualify product fields, disclose review status, and distinguish catalogue data from clinical evidence.
01 · What we will and won't say
No disease-cure claims — ever
Regulatory treatment depends on the product, wording, evidence, audience and jurisdiction. Our editorial floor is more conservative: we qualify supplied product fields, link material guide claims to visible sources and do not turn seller language into a treatment or outcome claim.
- We do label supplied amounts, regulator names and certification names as catalogue fields and tell readers where independent checking is still needed.
- We don't say a product "cures", "treats" or "reverses" anything, imply a diagnosis, or use scare imagery.
- We never publish before/after imagery, "lose X lbs" framing, body-shaming or weight-targeted creative — banned in our ethos and on major ad platforms.
02 · Who writes and reviews this
Collective authorship and review status
Guides carry the honest collective VitalSherpa Editorial Desk byline, a visible last-updated date and a dated source list. We never invent expert personas or use stock-photo doctors. No qualified reviewer is currently registered; sensitive pages therefore say “Not clinician-reviewed.”
- Collective byline. The desk is an Organization, not a fabricated person or credentialed expert.
- Clinical status shown. Medication, interaction, dosing and adverse-event pages keep a pending label until a qualified reviewer signs off.
- Cited and dated. Guide claims trace to visible official or primary sources with access and update dates.
03 · The most sensitive slice
Prescription & GLP-1 telehealth
Prescription medication — including GLP-1 medicines — is the most sensitive subject we cover. We do not recommend a medicine or decide eligibility. Requirements vary by medicine and jurisdiction, so readers must verify the provider, prescriber, consultation, dispensing and follow-up arrangements with the relevant official register and clinician. A supplied regulator or consultation field is not approval of a provider.
04 · Subscriptions & auto-ship
Rebill transparency (FTC negative-option)
Where supplied, cards show whether the catalogue marks a subscription and discount. Those fields do not establish the live price, renewal interval, consent flow, cancellation route, refund policy or compliance with any particular market’s negative-option rules. Check all of those terms on the seller’s current checkout before agreeing to recurring payment.
